Tony had an original mustang that was in rough shape so he decided to buy a new reproduction body from Golden Leaf Automotive and begin his project with that. While there was no rust to deal with there was a lot of fitting and changing panel gaps, we had to cut the backs of the fenders where they meet the doors so they would fit. We also had to cut the 1/4 panels and move them in so they would line up with the doors and we had to lengthen the hood in a few areas to make it fit the front of the fenders, this was all done by cutting and welding as required. The metal work is done. We are now working on the body work, priming will be next. This is one of the muscle car restoration projects by Randy Colyn Restorations.
