Here we have the body and hood all done with three coats of the Evercoat sprayable putty. We will also bake them at 130F for 30 minutes. We will wait a few days and then start blocking it down for the next round of primer.
Now we have blocked down the sprayable putty on the 71 mustang body and parts and reprimed with a high build urethane primer putting three coats on everything. we also baked that primer at 130F for 30 minutes. Then we let the high build primer cure for a few days and block it down on the car body and parts finishing in 400 grit sandpaper this time. Here are some pictures of the body getting masked up for its final high build primer, this time we will put four coats on and also bake at 130F for 30 minutes when finished. We will let this last primer finish curing for a few days and then block it down with 400 grit 600 grit and 800 grit to give us a nice smooth surface on which to apply the paint.
